Why we Regulate

To protect the integrity and assets of the Navajo Nation
To protect the internal control system which ensures the accountability of funds and prevents theft and fraud
To ensure integrity - the reputation as perceived by patrons, the public, politicians and the press
To protect sovereignty - the NGRO is the primary regulator of gaming whose diligent and effective performance limits the presence of Federal and State regulators
To enforce health and safety - to protect the health and safety of patrons and employees
